'Nobody knew it was me': Teenager edits K-pop star's Wikipedia page as a joke, leading numerous internet outlets to promote celebrity's hilarious nickname

Remember those times at school when teachers would insist that Wikipedia is not a reliable source of information? They would tell you that you can't use it in papers, and no one would really understand why, because everything on there looked pretty informed and well-based. But then, you discover that pretty much anyone can edit there, and boy oh boy, things got interesting from there on.

I had my fair share of experiences with editing different pages on Wikipedia. Most of the information I put in was celebrity facts that were actually true, but I think a lot of teens back then tried to put some silly, incorrect information on different pages, just to see how long it would take for them to get caught. Just like this person on Reddit, who came clean about the fake nickname they put on Wikipedia for a famous K-pop singer. The best part about their story was that their prank actually caught on, and even 10 years later some pages still have that incorrect information written about this singer. OP (original poster) was extremely embarrassed about it, but I personally think it is hilarious.
